ANOTR - Withness

ANOTR’s third studio album was made exactly how it’s supposed to be listened to: together. Over the past year and a half, the Amsterdam duo fashioned the answer to 2025’s On A Trip on, well, several. 

“A lot of these songs were created while touring, playing shows every weekend, and constantly being surrounded by people, music, and new experiences. Over time, it slowly became this collection of moments and memories we shared along the way,” they wrote on Instagram. 

Hence the title Withness, an LP made to soundtrack those moments when human connection just clicks and core memories are made in real time. With an album this buoyant and breezy, most of them are destined to unfold on the dance floor – a fate signaled by the success of “Talk To You,” which hit Beatport’s overall top spot following its release in March. 

Baauer - U

Genre: Dance / Pop
Label: LuckyMe

Baauer’s album U is a wide-sweeping and smiling reminder that dance music can be clever, ridiculous, emotional, and fun all at once. His first album in six years, released on LuckyMe and executive-produced by Hudson Mohawke, pulls hard on the UK radio sounds that shaped him as a teenager in London: piano house, UKG, disco edits, Baltimore breaks, electroclash, and big-room chaos with cheek still in it. Across 16 tracks, the record moves like a proper high-energy DJ set, full of samples, hooks, and bright turns that land without losing the weirdness. Guests, including Aluna, Brazy, Betsy, and KUČKA add color, but the heart of it is Baauer chasing that old dance floor rush. After “Harlem Shake,” he could have stayed frozen in a viral moment… but where is the fun in that?

Farsight - Photosynthesizing Yr Light

Genre: Bass / Club; Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass

On Photosynthesizing Yr Light, DJ/producer Farsight steps into a brighter, more open chapter without losing the rhythmic bite that has always made his productions work in the club. The San Francisco-rooted, Berlin-based artist leans into warmth, melody, and release across the EP, shaping summer-facing dance music that still has enough low-end weight and percussive pace to hold its own after dark. There is a clear shift in the craft here too. After years of working partly with samples and presets, Farsight built the synths from scratch here using Ableton’s Operator and Wavetable, giving the record a more personal, hands-on glow. It is club music that feels lit from the inside, bright enough for open air, but still tough enough for the back half of the night.

MPH, Nathan Nicholson - "Long Goodbye"

Label: Disorder / Capitol

MPH says “Long Goodbye” is “always a highlight in my sets as it lets everyone take a breath,” but there’s more to it than mere reprieve. The smooth-moving number is more demure than some of the tastemaker’s recent releases, but no less compelling — a reminder that restraint commands its own power. Vocals from Nathan Nicholson add an otherworldly lull to a track that’s not so much a palate cleanser as it is another example of the polish that’s made MPH one of UKG’s most exciting producers. 

Surusinghe - Cutting Thread

Label: dh2

Surusinghe returns to dh2 with Cutting Thread, a new EP that brings together bass pressure, dembow, acid, 4/4 drive, and sharp, body-led sound design. We’ve had our eye on the London-via-Melbourne producer since her 2022 debut on Steel City Dance Discs, and with each passing year, she’s pushed things further, from the Eastern groove of “Get Fluety” to the smoldering, sultry club attitude of “Kinda Like That.” With Cutting Thread, she widens her range without losing the bite that has made her such a force in club music. “FRIED” is the warning shot, built on rubbery acid lines, gated pads, cello-bowed tension, and a bass hook made for big systems. “Party Criminal” brings in Jamaican MC Warrior Queen over a dembow riddim that hits with real force. There is a dancer’s sense of control in the way these tracks move, which makes sense given Surusinghe’s ballet background, but nothing here feels delicate. This is club music for people who still believe staying out late can fix something in you.

Tiga, Piero Pirupa - "Love Don't Dance Here Anymore"

“Love Don’t Dance Here Anymore” is dancing with new vigor, thanks to a rework from the HOTLIFE album maker and Italian producer Piero Pirupa. Together they lift the track — from Tiga’s sophomore studio album, Ciao!, released in 2009 — into higher-octane territory with fresh energy and clear club attitude. Their spin adds to the recent wave of updates to Tiga cult favorites, including two takes on “Bugatti” (one from Benny Benassi and Laherte and the other from CID) and “Mind Dimension (from Giaggi and Adam Sellouk, respectively).
