Zero T brings his A-game to Hospital with ‘Onslaught’
Alongside Steo & Onj as part of the label’s 30th anniversary.
A stalwart of the Irish hip-hop scene from the early 2000s, Steo plays with falsetto soul tones, and Onj brings a fresh perspective to the record as a multi-genre musician and blind jazz pianist.
Formerly collaborating on the Kilburn LP in 2022 via Lenzman’s The North Quarter imprint, Zero T and Onj continue to scratch the collaborative itch (having also lived in the same building in Kilburn for over a decade). Once the track came to completion, Zero T had only one voice in mind - Dublin’s very own Steo.
Coming to fruition after hearing Onj experiment with a chord sequence that caught his ear, ‘Onslaught’ opens up the floor to compelling textures - becoming more about sound design rather than musical complexity.
