Over the last decade, Crucast has established itself as one of the leading forces in UK Bass music, helping push Bassline and Drum & Bass to new audiences through its releases, events and community-driven approach. Now, the label steps into a new lane with ‘Low Frequency’, its first ever compilation dedicated entirely to 140 and Dubstep.
At a time where the sound is seeing a huge resurgence across clubs, festivals and soundsystems, ‘Low Frequency’ arrives as a snapshot of the genre’s new wave. Bringing together a mix of rising producers, vocal talent and underground names making serious noise within the scene, the project reflects the raw energy and forward-thinking production currently driving 140 back into the spotlight.
Leading the release is ‘Hot’ from SHOSH & Rhiannon Roze, a high-impact collaboration balancing heavy low-end pressure with sharp vocal hooks. Elsewhere on the compilation, Duckworthsound teams up with legendary MC Dread MC for the gritty ‘No Police’, while Bennie follows up his recent Crucast Drum & Bass release with the bass-heavy ‘Off Radar’. Froidy returns to the label after his debut 140 release earlier this year, alongside contributions from Spence, Pengo, Shifu and TERMZ, each bringing their own take on modern Dubstep and UK Bass.
