I made this because I was bored. Everything in tech house felt like the same record. I wanted that chaotic energy back, the kind of stuff that was coming out around 2012, fidget house records and when Project X was the biggest thing ever for a teenager. I wrote this in London last December and after the first session called my manager and said I had a special one. When I sent a batch of demos to John he pointed out ‘The Ceiling’ and said the same thing. Every show I play it the crowd loses it even though it is their first time hearing it and that’s when you know you got a winner.
