Taiki Nulight Flips Scott Garcia’s UKG Classic “It’s A London Thing”
The Armada Music release turns one of garage’s great London anthems into a bass-heavy festival tool.

Some records are too big to treat lightly. Scott Garcia’s “It’s A London Thing” is one of them.
Released in 1997, the track became a proper UK garage calling card: sharp, local, full of attitude, and built with the kind of swing that made the whole scene feel like it was moving on its own private frequency. It was not just a big tune. It helped define what UKG sounded and felt like as it pushed out of London and into the wider world.
Now, Taiki Nulight has stepped in with a new remix, out via Armada Music, and he does not try to polish the thing into something polite. He pulls it into heavier territory, adding low-end pressure, festival-sized weight, and the kind of bite that leaves a dent on the dance floor. Listen below.
Speaking about his recent remix, Taiki told Beatportal:
It’s A London Thing’ is one of those records that’s part of the foundation of UK garage, so I wanted to approach this with real respect. I kept the soul of the original but rebuilt it for the way I play today. Something that hits harder in the club while still nodding to where it all started.
The remix has already been tested across Taiki’s recent US tour and picked up support from Skin On Skin, Ben UFO, Saint Ludo, Overmono, and Rohaan.
It also lands while Taiki is on a serious run, following a sensational remix of Sub Focus and bbyclose’s “On & On” plus his viral NERO “Innocence” remix, which has passed 5 million streams and landed in Beatportal’s 50 Best Tracks of 2025.
Taiki Nulight's remix of "It's A London Thing" is out now via Armada Music.
