AFEM: Electronic Futures - IMS Ibiza 2026
Edition Showcases The Diversity of Global Electronic Music.

The IMS Ibiza 2026 edition of AFEM: Electronic Futures continues the Association for Electronic Music’s ongoing spotlight on forward-thinking electronic music from across the international scene.
Curated by Vasil Ivanov The Editor in collaboration with AFEM, this special selection captures the energy and creative diversity surrounding IMS Ibiza 2026, bringing together artists and labels shaping the future of electronic music culture across multiple genres and scenes.
This edition moves fluidly between downtempo electronica, melodic house, techno, UK garage, drum & bass, bass house and progressive club sounds. From the peak-time energy of Bart Skils & Superchumbo’s Danny Avila remix on Drumcode, to the soulful grooves of Oden & Fatzo on Defected, the playlist reflects both underground credibility and crossover electronic appeal.
Deeper and more cinematic textures emerge through artists such as Nutritious on Liquid Culture, Amotik on Delsin Records and Erik Luebs on Nous'klaer Audio, while the rhythmic intensity of DJ Q, Cyantific and Viridity brings UK-rooted bass and drum & bass influences into the selection. Visionquest’s minimal aesthetic and Mark Broom’s raw hypnotic techno further expand the playlist’s sonic palette.
The playlist also features “Sunrizer” by The Editor and Daniel Picknell, released via Ultra Collective. The downtempo and breakbeat electronica release introduces a more emotional and cinematic dimension to the selection through atmospheric production, warm synth textures and immersive storytelling.
Featured labels in this edition include Drumcode, Defected, Glasgow Underground, Visionquest, Hospital Records, Shogun Audio, Stereofox, Delsin Records and Ultra Collective.
Together, these releases represent AFEM’s continued commitment to supporting innovation, artistic diversity and the global ecosystem connecting artists, labels and electronic music communities worldwide.
