Future Talent Lex Valverde Wins Pete Tong DJ Academy's 2026 Beatport Award

This month we announce a very special winner for the Beatport Award, an annual accolade within the Future Talent Awards. Every year, one of the top 10 Future Talent Award winners is selected to receive the Beatport Award, giving them substantial recognition and exposure within the global electronic music community.

Lex Valverde is a Mexican-born DJ and producer shaping a distinctive path within the European electronic music scene. Now based in Amsterdam, his sound blends groove-driven tech house with deeper, more driving techno influences, reflecting years immersed in club culture across continents. With a strong background performing across Mexico, Europe, and Japan, he has built a reputation for high-energy, rhythm-focused sets and a natural connection with the dance floor. 

He has shared lineups with big names like Charlotte de Witte, Meduza, and others, while also establishing himself as a resident presence within the Fairground Festival circuit. Alongside his work behind the decks, Lex continues to evolve as a producer, with multiple charting releases and growing support from key figures in the global house and techno scene.
