Beatport Launches Track ID, a Music Discovery Tool Built for DJs
Now live in the Beatport mobile app, Track ID helps DJs identify music in real time, from pitch-shifted blends and remixes to sweaty club recordings and festival-sized ID chaos.

Beatport has launched Track ID, a new music discovery feature inside the Beatport mobile app that helps DJs identify tracks in real time, even when the booth is moving fast and the room is doing what rooms do best: getting loud.
Built specifically for DJs, Track ID goes beyond the usual “what song is this?” experience. It is designed for the realities of club music: pitch-shifted transitions, layered blends, edits, remixes, crowd noise, and those blink-and-you-miss-it moments when a track hits and everyone starts scrambling for the ID.
The feature is powered by a stack of DJ-focused tools, including:
- High-level Beatmatching Tolerance: Track ID is optimized to recognize tracks that have been pitch-shifted, time-stretched, and edited.
- Multi-Track Detection: Track ID is built to work with overlapping tracks during DJ mixes and multi-track blends.
- Remix & Edit Support: Track ID helps you find the right version each time by accurately recognizing tracks across different edits, mashups, and remixes.
- Live Recording Optimization: Track ID is designed to excel in the loudest, most challenging club and festival environments.
- AI-Powered Audio Cleaning: Track ID uses high-end audio technology to reduce effects, crowd noise, and background audio, focusing its attention on identifying your track.
Using it is simple. Open the Beatport mobile app, tap the Track ID icon, let the app listen, and get instant results. Once a track is identified, it is added to your dedicated Track ID history, where you can preview it, save it to a playlist, stream it, or purchase it later. See for yourself by checking out the video below.
Developed in partnership with AI-powered music recognition platform seeqnc, Track ID is available now on iOS and Android. Download or update the Beatport mobile app and start digging in real time.
