Beatport’s 'The Block' Is Coming to Breakaway Atlanta

Following stops at Junction 2 and Creamfields in the UK, plus its U.S. debut at Toe Jam Backlot during Winter Music Conference in Miami, Beatport’s 'The Block' is rolling into Atlanta.

Beatport and Breakaway have linked up for a new partnership that brings 'The Block' – Beatport’s mobile stage and emerging artist platform – to four stops on Breakaway Music Festival’s 2026 national tour. First up is Breakaway Atlanta on May 15 and 16, with Breakaway Carolina, and Breakaway Houston set to follow later this year.

Breakaway returns to Center Parc Stadium for its second Atlanta edition with dance music all-stars such as John Summit, Kaskade, FISHER, and Mau P leading the charge, along with a bevy of dynamic DJs like Max Styler, SHOSH, LYNY, and Beatport Next artist Cole Knight. After selling out its Atlanta debut last year, the festival is coming back bigger, with expanded production and the Main Stage moving straight onto the stadium floor.

Powered by AlphaTheta and Funktion One, 'The Block' will run as a dedicated stage alongside the main event across both days. Built from a mobile, container-based setup, the stage is designed to spotlight the next wave of electronic artists through open submissions, regional competitions, and curated programming.

Ahead of Breakaway Atlanta, Beatport hosted a DJ competition giving emerging selectors the chance to land a slot on The Block stage. More competitions will launch later this year for Breakaway Carolina, and Breakaway Houston, opening up a real path from mix submission to festival set. The idea is simple: find new talent, put them on a proper stage, and give rising DJs the chance to play in front of real crowds. Through 'The Block,' Beatport and Breakaway are creating a new lane for artist discovery, one that connects grassroots selectors with big-room festival energy.
