Brunch Electronik Returns to Madrid with Six Events, a New Venue and One of the Strongest Lineups the City Has Seen
From a Paul Kalkbrenner and Eric Prydz opening at the Mutua Madrid Open to a Hernán Cattaneo extended set at sundown, the spring 2026 season spans six open-air events at La Caja Mágica Open Air, anchored by four weekends of pure Brunch Electronik across May.

Brunch Electronik has been one of the most quietly consistent forces in European open-air electronic music since launching in Barcelona, and its Madrid editions have followed the same upward curve.
For spring 2026, the series moves to a new home in the capital, La Caja Mágica Open Air, trading its previous park settings for a larger and more versatile venue. Six events, three different formats and some genuinely exciting programming decisions make this the most compelling Madrid season yet.

The full run opened in April, steps into two consecutive weekends of core Brunch programming in May, and closes at the end of the month with the European debut of Sunsetstrip. Here is how it looks, date by date:
17 April - Paul Kalkbrenner and Eric Prydz Kicked Off the Season at the Mutua Madrid Open
Magic Sessions was Brunch Electronik's new format, and the ambition behind the concept was clear from the first booking. Tied to the Mutua Madrid Open tennis tournament, the opening night brought together two artists who have defined melodic techno on very different terms.
Paul Kalkbrenner built one of the genre's foundational records in Berlin Calling and has never stopped drawing enormous crowds; Eric Prydz works at a similarly massive scale but with a production ethos that feels entirely his own. HoneyLuv, Charmeine and local artist Macarena Hoffmann completed a bill designed to make the season's first night feel like an event in itself. By all accounts, it did.
9 May - Dixon B2B Jimi Jules, Maceo Plex and the First Saturday of Pure Brunch
The first of the four core Spring Season dates opens with one of the most anticipated pairings on the bill. Dixon and Jimi Jules share deep roots in the Innervisions world, and seeing them share a booth has the feeling of something genuinely special rather than a promotional exercise.
Maceo Plex alongside them guarantees the kind of range that takes a lineup from good to great, moving between brooding techno and expansive house with the ease of someone who has been doing it for decades. JAMIIE and Lola Bozzano open, bringing directness and energy to the early hours. Saturdays this season close at 00:30, a later finish than Brunch Madrid has previously offered.
10 May - An Entire Sunday Handed Over to the B2B Format
Building an entire day's programming around back-to-back sets is an unusual structural decision, and it pays off immediately when you look at who has been paired with whom. Speedy J and FJAAK are sharing a booth for the first time, which brings together two very different takes on techno and club music under a single, unpredictable roof.
Gerd Janson alongside Marcel Dettmann is another pairing that crosses generations and temperaments in ways that feel earned rather than manufactured. Adiel and Quest continue the format, as does the opening set from Luska and Emi Koto, one of the strongest combinations on the emerging side of the programme. The whole day has a genuine sense of identity.
16 May - WhoMadeWho Headline a Saturday Built Around Melody and Emotion
WhoMadeWho have become one of the most sought-after live and DJ bookings in Europe over the past few years, and the hybrid DJ set format sits neatly in the sweet spot between a full live show and a traditional DJ performance.
Colyn brings a similarly melodic sensibility alongside them, while the pairing of Deer Jade and LP Giobbi crosses the Atlantic to link up two artists who share a focus on groove, texture and the more soulful end of electronic music. Juan Hansen performs live, and PAULITTAHH opens the afternoon. It is a Saturday with a clear emotional register, aimed squarely at people who want their outdoor events to feel like something rather than just sound like something.
17 May - Honey Dijon Closes the Core Season with House Music and Community Spirit
Honey Dijon closing out the Brunch Electronik portion of the season is exactly the right call. Few artists command a room the way she does, and her commitment to the traditions of house music while remaining genuinely contemporary makes her a headliner who delivers on the billing every time.
Below her, the card is stacked with pairings that should not be overlooked: DJBORING alongside DJ Seinfeld is one of the most keenly anticipated B2Bs of the season, two artists who share a slow-burning, deeply affectionate relationship with dance music history. Bambounou and DJ Holographic bring something more kinetic, and Cinthie alongside Marie Montexier rounds out a closing Sunday that puts the emphasis firmly on groove and collective experience. Official afterparties at The Bassement follow each of the four spring weekends.
30 May - Hernán Cattaneo Brings Sunsetstrip to Europe for the First Time
Sunsetstrip has been a fixture of Buenos Aires' outdoor music culture for years, and its arrival in Europe under the Brunch Electronik banner is a meaningful moment for the format. Hernán Cattaneo is the natural centrepiece: an artist with genuine longevity whose extended sets remain among the most absorbing experiences in progressive and melodic electronic music.
Kevin Di Serna and Jara complete the bill for an evening shaped by atmosphere, patience and the particular pleasure of watching the light change while the music shifts beneath it. As closings go, it is a considered one.
