Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize Drop Collaborative LP Ahead of Coachella Performance

Some pairings just make sense, and Nine Inch Noize (Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize) is one of them. Their eponymous new album, out now via Interscope Records, makes that resoundingly clear. 

Nine Inch Noize takes a dozen of the band’s classics and translates them into the electronic language with the same gnashing, metallic grit and hallucinatory pomp and circumstance that Weekend 1 Coachella attendees saw the collaborators deploy during their global debut as Nine Inch Noize from the festival’s Sahara tent on April 11. That performance, their coming Weekend 2 encore, and the LP bring Trent Reznor and Boys Noize’s long-percolating creative partnership to a head, though Coachella wasn’t their first time sharing a stage. The German techno producer previously opened for Nine Inch Nails on their international Peel It Back tour, which ran from 2025 through mid-March and saw him play a part of the show alongside the alt-rock outfit.

On April 18, Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize will take the Sahara Tent on another thrill ride, and if their Weekend 1 appearance and the album are any indication, the performance is poised to be a true “you had to be there” moment. Fortunately for Couchella participants, it’ll stream live via Coachella’s YouTube channel at 8 p.m.
