Anyma to Close Coachella's Do LaB Stage with Marlon Hoffstadt After Cancelled Friday Performance

Anyma will close out Coachella's Do LaB stage alongside Marlon Hoffstadt in a surprise b2b starting at 10:45 p.m. 

"Let’s end at the beginning. Anyma b2b Marlon Hoffstadt close out the Do LaB at 10:45pm tonight," the Do LaB wrote on Instagram.

The news follows the weather-related cancellation of the producer's set on April 10, with Coachella citing "strong wind conditions affecting Anyma's stage build." He was slated to present the world premiere of his new live show, ÆDEN, from the festival's main stage that evening, with a second performance set for April 17 (Weekend 2).  

"I’m sorry everyone. We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now," Anyma wrote in a comment under Coachella's Instagram post announcing the cancellation.

He elaborated in a separate post published the evening of April 11, confirming that the Weekend 1 set would not be rescheduled. 

"I’m heartbroken. I don’t have many words other than to say I’m truly devastated and deeply sorry to everyone who showed up to the main stage, and to those watching the livestream at home," he said. "...Unfortunately, there are no other slots available for me to perform the ÆDEN show this weekend. I’m working on a solution to bring you some music at least, but I don’t want to impose on the other artists’ slots."

It is not currently clear whether the duo's b2b will be streamed. Although the Do LaB stage is not among the seven stages Coachella is livestreaming simultaneously this year (Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Sahara, Quasar, Mojave, Gobi, and Yuma), John Summit's surprise set at the stage on April 10 was streamed via the festival's Outdoor Theatre channel. If made available to this year's many Couchella participants, it'll be yet another standout moment from Weekend 1.
