While 2016 music and fashion trended at the beginning of the year, 2012 has been having a moment of its own thanks to Adam Beyer and Massano. For months, the producers have steadily turned up the intensity in their sets with a propulsive remix of Green Velvet and Harvard Bass' iconic, nearly decade-old club contender, "Lazer Beams." Now, their peak-time take reaches a boiling point on a label that matches its drive: Drumcode.
In Beyer and Massano's hands, "Lazer Beams" hardens from a hypnotic, minimal floor controller into a diamond-sharp set dominator that feels just as suited to pyro as it does laser beams – or better yet, both. Listen below.
The remix marks the Drumcode boss and Massano's first collaboration and comes just five months after the melodic techno maven teamed up with Doriann to place an entrancing spin on Beyer and Bart Skils' "Your Mind." Their "Lazer Beams" flip arrives alongside an elastic take from Alok that aims its beams straight at the dance floor.
