Push Builds Toward "Known Universe" with “Breakpoint”

Continuing the momentum of “Back When We Believed,” the Belgian trance icon delivers a finely tuned club track shaped by evolving melodies, dynamic tension, and floor-ready power.

Push Breakpoint

‘Intruder’, ‘Infinite’, ‘Pound’, ‘Bomba’, ‘Zenith’, ‘Invigorate’: Mike Dierickx does have a habit of titles (and tracks!) which get right to the point.
And here comes another!

With ‘Breakpoint’, Push brilliantly doubles down on last month’s ’Back When We Believed’, further setting up his run to the summer-incoming ‘Known Universe’ album.

Not for nothing was Push’s thunderous set in Rotterdam for 25 Years Of ASOT last month peppered with ID weaponry. The Belgium legend has spent a considerable proportion of 2025 studio-locked, working on material for his ninth longplayer, many of which were deployed to furious floor effect at Ahoy.

As you’d imagine, ‘Breakpoint’ picks right up where ’Back When We Believed’ left off, with Dierickx leveraging his alchemic chord progressions against subtle key shifts, before resolving each sequence with signature dynamic emphasis! Multi-layered leads and subs, shaped by pinpoint filter releases and resonant sweeps are anchored by the kind of pristine-clean, low-end pressure, that thrives amongst his melodic arcs.
