Curol’s Mziki Vol. 02 reaches No. 2 on the Afro House Top 100 Releases
A collaboration-led body of work that brings together multiple artists, blending distinct influences into a cohesive Afro House soundscape.

Brazilian DJ and producer Curol presents Mziki Vol. 02, a new album released through her imprint Nature RCD that deepens the dialogue between contemporary electronic music and African-rooted rhythms. Shortly after its release, the project reached No. 2 on the Beatport Afro House Releases chart and No. 4 on the Deep House Releases chart, reinforcing its growing impact within the global scene.
Mziki Vol. 02 emerges as a meeting point between distinct musical identities. The project brings together artists from different cultural backgrounds, shaping a sonic journey that connects House, Afro House and Melodic elements with organic instrumentation and references rooted in both Brazilian and African musical traditions.
One of the album’s central moments is “Xangô Dançô,” a collaboration between Curol and Angolan artists Yuri da Cunha and Octavio Cabuata. The track blends electronic production with studio-recorded instruments such as guitar and bass, creating a groove that balances the rhythmic strength of percussion with an almost ritualistic atmosphere. The result establishes a sonic bridge between Afro-Brazilian references and Angolan musical identity.
Another highlight is “Good Morning,” produced alongside Angolan DJ and producer DJEFF. Built around an afro-melodic foundation, the track gradually evolves through layered sounds that expand the energy throughout a DJ set. Its progression reflects Curol’s sensitivity to dancefloor dynamics, balancing groove, tension and melodic expansion.
Meanwhile, “Don’t Let Me Down” brings together Curol, Brazilian producer Bruno Be and Zimbabwean vocalist Msiz'Kay. The track introduces a more emotional dimension to the album, pairing a powerful vocal performance with a timeless house structure that broadens the project’s expressive range.
By bringing together artists from Brazil, Angola and Zimbabwe, Mziki Vol. 02 highlights the cultural connections that continue to shape the evolution of contemporary afro house. The album also reinforces Curol’s role as an artist who moves beyond production, acting as a curator who fosters encounters between different scenes and sonic languages.
Reaching No. 2 on the Afro House Top 100 Releases, Mziki Vol. 02 confirms the growing reach of this artistic vision — one where ancestry, groove and contemporary electronic production come together organically on the dancefloor.
