OCULA & Richard Walters Share After-Hours Reflection on New Single ‘Night Thoughts’ Out March 20 on Colorize
Out Friday 20th March on Colorize.

Colorize welcomes back OCULA with ‘Night Thoughts’, a stirring collaboration with acclaimed singer-songwriter Richard Walters, arriving Friday 20 March.
Built around glowing synth layers, warm bass movement and a patient, evolving groove, ‘Night Thoughts’ captures the quiet intensity of late-night reflection. OCULA’s organic melodic touch provides a rich, atmospheric backdrop for Walters’ emotive, understated vocals. The result is a track drifting through quiet moments of contemplation and melancholy, lingering in the space where emotion feels most raw and unguarded.
The release marks another standout chapter for OCULA, who continues to establish himself as one of melodic house’s most refined voices. Following acclaimed releases on mau5trap and This Never Happened - the label founded by Lane 8 - as well as official remixes for Armin van Buuren and Lane 8, his productions have become synonymous with emotional depth, polished sound design and timeless melodic energy.
On vocal duties, Richard Walters brings a wealth of artistry and experience. The Oxford-born singer-songwriter has built an acclaimed career spanning indie pop and electronica, releasing multiple solo albums including ‘The Animal’, ‘Regret Less’, ‘A.M’., ‘Golden Veins’ and ‘Murmurate’. Walters is also known for collaborations with artists such as Bernard Butler, Noel Hogan, Guy Sigsworth, and Alison Moyet, and as a member of the trio LYR alongside Simon Armitage and Patrick James Pearson. His distinctive ‘less-is-more’ vocal style - both anthemic and nuanced - has also led to widespread television placements across shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, Station 19 and Bones.
Together OCULA and Walters craft something quietly powerful with ‘Night Thoughts’ - a track that lingers long after the final note fades, capturing the stillness and emotion that often arrives when the world slows down.
