Philipp Jung Revisits the Get Physical Legacy with ‘Rewind Forward Vol. 1’
An 11-track compilation blending new remixes with timeless catalogue gems, out now on Get Physical Music.

Get Physical Music launches a new chapter in its catalogue with ‘Rewind Forward Vol. 1’, a carefully curated compilation led by label co-founder Philipp Jung. Out now, the 11-track release brings together fresh reinterpretations and standout moments from the label’s rich history, offering a forward-looking take on some of its most defining sounds.
As one half of the influential duo M.A.N.D.Y. and a founding force behind Get Physical and Kindisch, Philipp Jung has played a key role in shaping modern house music. With ‘Rewind Forward Vol. 1’, he returns to the catalogue with a series of new remixes that reconnect past and present through his evolving solo sound.
At the center of the compilation are four remixes by Jung. An unreleased rework of ‘Just Let Go’ by Birds Of Mind feat. Zemira Israel introduces a bass-driven, mid-tempo groove with subtle swing, atmospheric textures, and expressive vocals. His ReGroove of DJ T.’s ‘Bateria’ strips the track down to a percussive core, while his reinterpretation of Bruce Leroys’ ‘Liberdade’ adds melodic depth and emotional lift. Completing the set is his drum-led remix of Siopis’ ‘Really Love Ya’, a version that reshapes the original into a fluid, modern club journey.
Beyond Jung’s contributions, the compilation highlights key moments from across the Get Physical catalogue. Ryan Murgatroyd reimagines Dele Sosimi’s ‘E Go Betta’ with spiritual energy and uplifting melodies, while Class B Band’s ‘Dark Bather’ brings a darker, more electronic edge. Digitaline’s ‘A Journey To The Stars’ retains its timeless tension, and Kenny Larkin’s remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Adultnapper’s ‘Bus Ted’ stands out with its futuristic atmosphere. Kölsch’s remix of Reboot’s ‘Just Hang On’ adds driving emotion, while George Vala’s ‘11:41’ and Wolf Story’s ‘Between The World And Me’ round out the collection with deep, organic grooves.
‘Rewind Forward Vol. 1’ is more than a retrospective. It is a recontextualization of the Get Physical sound, where classic tracks meet contemporary reinterpretation and new energy. The compilation captures the label’s enduring identity while opening the door to future explorations.
