Moving away from traditional structures, this Melodic Techno gem is a character study of Nebula, the ruthless mercenary from the Marvel universe. It captures her solitary spirit, her mysterious past, and the "voices" that drive her actions.
The track’s DNA is rooted in a unique creative experiment. Wydji utilized Ableton plugins to randomly chop samples of an Indian choir, letting fate dictate the rhythmic texture. This unpredictability mirrors the internal chaos of the protagonist.
"I wanted to recount a universe that is both Dante-esque and fierce," Wydji explains. "The theme is about accepting one's dark side to better assert oneself. It refers to the intimate, to the voices that talk to us in our heads."
Technically, the track represents an artistic evolution toward a darker, more minimalist workflow. The challenge lay in the delicate balance of the vocals, ensuring they were haunting without being overwhelming. The climax of the piece, a final drop where the fragmented voices take full control, serves as a moment of total surrender to the music's hypnotic power.
