'The Block' is crossing the Atlantic.

After launching in the UK back in 2025 and making appearances at major festivals like Creamfields, Junction 2 and Terminal V, Beatport Live’s custom-built touring stage, The Block, is officially making its US debut at Toe Jam Backlot in Wynwood during Miami Music Week, running March 26-29, 2026.

Designed to spotlight emerging talent on professional festival stages, 'The Block' was built to give rising artists real moments in front of real crowds. Now, for its first US appearance, Beatport Live is opening the doors to eight up-and-coming DJs across the country.

Through an open DJ competition, eight winners will each earn a 45-60 minute set on 'The Block' stage at Toe Jam Backlot, performing alongside heavyweight DJs during one of the busiest weeks in global dance music (full lineup below). Winners will also receive backstage access for themselves and two friends, stepping inside the energy of Miami Music Week from behind the scenes.

The competition is free to enter and open to all US residents aged 21 and over. Simply submit a 30-60 minute DJ mix, with winners selected by the Beatport Live team.

Powering 'The Block' experience on the ground is AlphaTheta, who join as the Official DJ Technology Partner for the US debut, providing industry-leading DJ hardware across the stage.
