Debosh Introduces PRONOIA — Hardgroove Has Never Felt This Tender

It is rare to find a diamond in the rough. Somebody whose point of view is so singular it needed time to incubate before the world could catch up. PRONOIA is that kind of discovery. His demos arrived in a sea of submissions, and the reaction was instant. Oh wow. This is different.

PRONOIA is a believer in guides and angels, and on that day we found ourselves agreeing. There was a sense of alignment in the room, as if something had nudged the music into the right hands at the exact right moment. What came through the speakers felt intentional, grounded, and warm all at once.

Hardgroove and R&B should not work together. They come from different emotional worlds, different histories, different instincts. Yet in PRONOIA's work they merge into something soulful, tender, and quietly revolutionary. His drums hit with the weight and precision that hardgroove demands. His melodies carry warmth and vulnerability. He doesn't choose between them. The result is something that hits hard and feels tender at once.

What makes this arrival even more remarkable is that PRONOIA has never released music before. Yet his unreleased work has already found its way into Boiler Room sets, passed hand to hand among DJs who recognized something undeniable. In April, he steps forward with his debut: a three-track EP on Debosh, with his first release, "Heavenly," dropping March 20th and the full EP arriving April 10th

Hardgroove is just beginning to take root in the U.S., and already PRONOIA is bending it into something entirely his own, representing the true ethos of Debosh.
