Deep Root Records’ imprint Deep Root Tribe presents ‘New Wave’, a two-track EP by Demzabeatz & MentMusik.
Moving between ancestral echoes and modern electronic energy, the project unfolds instinctively, a meeting point where African roots, emotion, and forward motion quietly shape the sound.
The journey opens with ‘New Wave’, carried by confidence and momentum. Rolling basslines, layered percussion, and atmospheric synths drive the track forward, reflecting a generation in motion and a sound stretching beyond borders. ‘Ngawe’ turns inward.
Anchored in African vocal storytelling and deep Afro-Tech rhythms, it speaks of loss, acceptance, and release. Minimal yet charged, the track closes the EP with intimacy, where emotion settles into rhythm and silence lingers just as meaningfully.
Demzabeatz and MentMusik are contemporary Afro-House producers who are gaining visibility. They became known for their track ‘Maita Maita’, which was released on August 1st, 2025, under Kunye Records.
