RHR Debuts on PAN With Skrillex Collaboration on New 'GÍRIA' EP
The rising Brazilian producer blends Brazilian funk, dubstep, and dancehall into a bass-heavy statement on the global power of funk.

Brazilian DJ/producer RHR brings us GÍRIA, a five-track EP out now via Berlin imprint PAN. The release arrives loaded with serious firepower, including a standout collaboration with Skrillex on the closing track “SYRINX,” alongside a track with close friend Logan_olm and vocal contributions from Me Jessmay, Lucas Swatch, and Big Mammazuki.
The São Paulo-based artist first broke through in 2022 with “Na Captura,” a standout cut from his Linha de Ofício 93 EP on the Brazil-via-New York label Tijolo Records. That track’s distorted, electro-charged “volt-mix” energy quickly turned heads across the underground, showcasing the futuristic lane RHR has been carving out ever since. By fusing Brazilian funk with sharp-edged techno, bass, and breaks, he’s helped push a new hybrid sound that’s been ripping through clubs and DJ sets worldwide.
Across GÍRIA, RHR pushes that sonic approach even further, smashing together dancehall bounce, dubstep weight, and funk percussion with blown-out 808s and distortion. Tracks like “CICLONADA,” “INNA COMBINATION,” and “PULSAÇÃO” land with raw low-end pressure while still leaving room for warped, experimental sound design. Listen below.
The project’s title comes from the Brazilian Portuguese word gíria, meaning slang. For RHR, it represents the way language mutates through culture, community, and movement. “I chose this name because GÍRIA is fundamentally about creating meaning,” he explains.
The EP arrives as RHR’s momentum continues to surge ahead of a major moment this summer, where he’ll close Dekmantel’s mainstage b2b with Skrillex. Taken together, the project signals just how powerfully modern Brazilian funk is shaping the global evolution of electronic dance music.
