Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, DJ_Dave explained:
one4u was built around the lead chord progression that immediately felt really nostalgic and euphoric to me. While making the rest of the song, I decided I’d use it to set the tone for my year, which I’m dedicating to being present and really feeling all the love around me.
