MicroHertz welcomes rising French duo Hottwins
Delivering "To The Funk," a two-track release that locks into groove-first house music with confidence, swing, and warmth.

Opening track “To The Funk” rolls effortlessly on a warm bass groove and playful rhythmic swing. Tight drums, subtle funk-inflected touches, and groovy vocal stabs give the track its bounce, keeping the energy fluid and infectious while remaining stripped and effective. Smooth, confident, and built to keep the floor moving, it’s a cut designed for long blends and locked-in moments.
On “Body Shake”, Hottwins push into a firmer, more driving flow. Playful instrumental elements sit over a locked-in groove that builds steady momentum, while cool vocal details and rhythmic pressure add edge and focus. It’s a floor-ready house tool designed to hold energy deep into the set.
Formed in France, Hottwins are a DJ/producer duo inspired by the UK and Dutch underground scenes, blending house and minimal deep tech with punchy rhythms, vocals, and subtle 90s influences. Their first appearance as a duo came in early 2024 during a standout night at Rex Club in Paris, followed by shows at Eden Open Air, Mazette (Aurora), La Dimancherie in La Rochelle, and Quartier Libre in Rouen as part of the Delta Tour. Officially launching the project in January 2025, the duo quickly followed with their debut Inner Vision EP and now step onto MicroHertz as part of a growing release schedule that also includes music on their own imprint, A Bit Warmer.
With To The Funk, Hottwins deliver a clear statement of intent: groove-led, warm, and built for connection, a release that fits naturally into Archie Hamilton’s MicroHertz universe while marking another confident step in the duo’s rise.
