German duo Hidden Empire return to Truesoul with a commanding new two-tracker, ‘No Rules’, out now.
After making a striking debut on Drumcode's little brother imprint last spring with ‘Disco Future Rave / Switch It Up’, the pair once again showcase their knack for fusing house, techno, EBM and electronica into peak-time-ready cuts.
Title track ‘No Rules’ was born from a late-night studio session and arrives as a chugging electro-driven weapon. Built around a sinister synth line and robotic vocal sample, the production balances grit and futurism with a raw, dancefloor-focused energy. “Our aim was to capture the mindset of both the creator and the dancer,” Hidden Empire explain.
It’s about that moment when the music takes over on the dancefloor and nothing else matters — just movement, freedom, and raw emotion.
On the flip, ‘Born to Rave’ leans into pure club euphoria. A rolling groove underpins a cool, commanding synth hook and vocal, channeling the communal spirit of late-night sessions. “It’s for the ones who feel most alive between basslines and flashing lights. It’s about unity in the crowd, losing yourself and finding freedom on the dancefloor,” the duo add.
