Fred V starts his 2026 output on a high with ‘Horizon,’ the first standalone single of the new year from the Exeter-based producer in collaboration with emerging vocalist WHAT EVA.

Built around the emotive chord progressions that Fred V fans have come to know and love, the track drops into halftime midway through, drawing the listener deeper into WHAT EVA’s lush toplines. As the arrangement unfolds, ‘Horizon’ evolves into a call-and-response between bass synth and melody, existing simultaneously across two distinct sonic worlds.

A rising force on the scene since stepping into the spotlight last year, London-based WHAT EVA has quickly amassed a loyal following. Effortlessly navigating between a kaleidoscope of genres, they’ve already collaborated with the likes of Grafix, Mozey, DubVision and more.

Following the release of ‘Weightless’ with Krakota (ft. Lottie Jones) and ‘Home’ from the New Home EP in partnership with Let It Roll last November, Fred V steps firmly into an exploration of a deeper and darker sound with this latest offering.
