When Power Meets Emotion: The Rise of TITAN
With TITAN, Ben C & Kalsx join forces with Cybek to deliver a melodic techno track that feels both monumental and deeply emotional.
Designed as a cinematic journey, the track unfolds like the rise of a colossal figure, slowly ascending toward the sky before unleashing its full power. “Titan is hypnotic, cinematic, and emotional , resolutely made for the stage,” the artists explain.
Built at 126 BPM, TITAN showcases all the hallmarks of modern melodic techno: a plucked bassline, a massive kick, minor-key melodies, and a carefully modulated lead driven by LFO movement. The structure alternates between mysterious, hypnotic sections and more club-oriented passages, while the orchestral break adds a dramatic sense of scale and anticipation.
The collaboration itself was a journey.
The track went back and forth three or four times between us, coordination wasn’t always easy, but we made it work,” they admit. One of the main challenges was restraint: “We had dozens of ideas, and the hardest part was choosing which ones to keep to preserve a minimal yet powerful track.
Rather than focusing on one standout moment, the artists highlight the strength of the whole.
We’re especially proud of the final result, a track where very different ideas ended up being perfectly complementary.
