Ahadadream, Skrillex, and RAF-SAPERRA Dial Up the Energy on “Bass Dhol”
After three years, Ahadadream and Skrillex drop the sister track to their 2024 collaboration, "TAKA."

Ahadadream said it best: “FINALLY, AFTER 3 YEARS IN THE MAKING…BASS DHOL IS COMING OUT.”
The 2024 Beatport Next alum's punchy, pressure-tested ID with Skrillex and Punjabi vocalist RAF-SAPERRA arrives fashionably late to Astralwerks and with further refinements since it first debuted during Ahadadream’s 2024 Boiler Room set, according to Run The Trap. But the track dates back even further.
“The beginnings of ‘Bass Dhol’ were back in early 2023, when Sonny [Skrillex] invited me to work on music together in Miami. That’s when I played him some RAF-SAPERRA too, he loved the vibe and we thought he’d be perfect for this track,” Ahadadream says. “Early versions… have been getting played since back then, so I’m super happy to finally see this officially going out into the world in its final form.”
Like a pot about to boil over, “Bass Dhol” brims with energy, percussive drive, and Punjabi dhol rhythms that’ve already sent us to the replay button more than just a few times. It’s obvious when artists have fun with a collaboration, and as with Ahadadream and Skrillex’s last single (2024’s “TAKA”), this is one of those times. Listen below.
Considering that BBC Radio 1 named “TAKA” Hottest Record, Essential New Tune, and Track ID — a feat that hadn’t been repeated since Calvin Harris' “How Deep Is Your Love” swept the categories in 2015 — Ahadadream and Skrillex’s first team-up was a tough act to follow. Yet as “Bass Dhol” proves, lightning can strike twice.
"Bass Dhol" is out now. Buy it on Beatport.
