Detroit royalty touches down on Rekids this week as DJ Minx delivers her debut for the label with the Energy EP.
A foundational force in house and techno and founder of Women on Wax, Minx continues a long-running relationship with Radio Slave’s imprint following her 2025 appearance on the House of Rekids mix series and standout moments at the label’s Panorama Bar showcase.
The new release pairs her with Florida-born, two-time Grammy-winning vocalist Kendra Foster on the jacking, high-impact title cut, where bright stabs and muscular drums meet an uplifting vocal punch. On the flip side, “You Can” leans inward, rolling on deep bass pressure beneath an inspirational spoken word message that keeps the floor locked while lifting the spirit. Listen below.
Minx’s Rekids chapter extends beyond the studio this spring when she joins a stacked lineup for the Rekids x Beatport Live showcase during Miami Music Week on March 25. Taking over the Beatport Live Pool Party at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel, she’ll go B2B with Radio Slave while sharing the decks with heavyweights Danny Tenaglia, Doc Martin, Tal Fussman, Anja Schneider, and William Kiss.
Tickets and info are available here.

From Detroit airwaves to global stages, Energy is another reminder that Minx’s signal still hits with purpose and power.
