Listen: Oscar L's elite 'Atlas' EP on Truesoul
Truesoul's most capped recruit delivers again.

Truesoul mainstay Oscar L is back with ‘Atlas’, a groove-heavy three-tracker that sees the Spaniard pivot from recent high-tempo workouts into deeper, more underground territory. Out now, the EP is another sharp reminder why - after Adam Beyer - Oscar L stands as the label’s most prolific and dependable contributor.
The title cut ‘Atlas’ sets the tone in emphatic fashion. A no-nonsense stomper with a divine low-end, it pairs a soaring male vocal with polished, high-end sound design, making it equally at home in sweaty peak-time moments or late-night club sessions.
‘When the Bassline Hits’ follows with a darker, moodier energy. Driven by a shadowy synth lead and crisp, forward-pushing percussion, it’s a sleek club weapon that balances tension and drive in all the right places.
Closing track ‘Still Human’ leans into electro-tinged territory, delivering a chugging dancefloor tool built around a well-known vocal sample from LaTour’s ‘People Are Still Having Sex’.
I wanted to explore a slightly lower BPM with more groove this time, as my recent releases were more focused around 132 BPM and a heavier techno sound. For this release, the idea was to go a bit more underground while still keeping a sound that fits well with the current market.
