Today we introduce Carmen, also known as MBreaks - a key figure in Spain’s breakbeat movement, who has risen from playing music at raves to leading the new wave of Spanish breaks artists and performing at the country’s top festivals.

“In 2020, Sala Cosmos gave me the opportunity to curate and programme breakbeat events in my hometown of Seville.”

“Reaching No.1 on Beatport alongside my brother Bowser with ‘Analog Saw’ on our home label, 83.”

“FL Studio. I always try to sit down and produce the day after returning from a festival - my head is full of fresh ideas and inspiration.”

“I’m incredibly proud of the passion, dedication and love you’ve always put into music.”
Goals for 2026:
“To continue supporting and discovering local talent from my home base at Pandora Club in Seville; to design fresh, engaging programming that grows audiences for breakbeat and related styles; to build alliances with other collectives and expand the Andalusian breakbeat community; and, of course, to fully support female DJs and producers who want to grow and contribute to our scene.”
