John Summit Ushers in His Next Era With Electrifying New Single, "LIGHTS GO OUT"
The charged-up cut kicks down the door to a new chapter of Summit's sound ahead of his forthcoming sophomore album.

At this point in his career, John Summit is accustomed to playing stadiums and arenas. “LIGHTS GO OUT” certainly sounds like it.
The single – his first of the year – lands like a firecracker, fusing house, trap, and heavy synths at a scale that mirrors the supersized venues he’s headlined in recent years.
“I knew I had to come out swinging with ‘LIGHTS GO OUT,’” he says. “Led by an anthemic vocal that hasn’t gotten out of my head since the first studio session, this one has been crushing my sets.”
After detonating across dance floors and festival grounds for months now, the charged-up cut kicks down the door to the Experts Only label head’s new era of sound, soon to culminate in the follow-up to his 2024 debut album, Comfort In Chaos.
"Full album debut at ultra, big ibiza residency incoming + album production tour in the fall," Summit tweeted on December 26. "We going all the f*** out in 2026."
While “LIGHTS GO OUT” reflects the producer’s continued refinement of his evolving fingerprint, its cheeky video nods to his CPA days. Listen and watch below.
The release trails the news of Summit’s first-ever Ibiza residency – a milestone that only further affirms his permanent vault from a desk to the decks. His nine-date Experts Only residency is set to command [UNVRS] every Monday from June 1 – July 27.
Summit’s and Experts Only’s calendars will remain busy until it's time to head to the White Isle, thanks in part to a pair of Experts Only ski weekenders planned from March 14 – 15 in Whistler, British Columbia, and March 21 – 22 in Vail, Colorado. Both lineups were announced on Jan. 29. Whistler will feature performances from Adam Sellouk, CID, Max Styler, Sofi Tukker, and more, with Vail welcoming sets from Devault, Gabss, Odd Mob, and SIDEPIECE, among others.
In the meantime, “LIGHTS GO OUT” is out now via Experts Only. Buy it on Beatport.
