Hype Label of the Month: Consequence Of Society Recordings
Cristoph’s COS imprint steps into 2026 with a tight roster, a growing catalog, and a club-first vision that puts instinct over trend cycles.

Consequence Of Society Recordings heads into 2026 with quiet confidence and real momentum. Cristoph kicked the label off in 2022 as a way to self-release his own music, but it didn’t stay in “personal outlet” mode for long. What started with melodic and progressive DNA has widened into a full spectrum of deep, hypnotic house and driving techno built for proper club rotation. The filter is simple: if Cristoph is rinsing it, feeling it, and it’s doing damage in the booth, then it belongs on COS.
That approach shows in the roster. Alongside Cristoph’s own output, the label has tapped talent like Ross Quinn, Layer J, Jem Cooke, Mind Conspiracy, and now Weiss, who shows up with a chunky, sample-led house EP that feels tailor-made for crowded rooms and late-set moments.
There’s also a personal thread baked into the branding. Consequence Of Society references the environment that shaped Cristoph’s taste and trajectory, while the COS shorthand doubles as a nod to his nickname, “Cossy.”
As Beatport’s first Hype Label of the Month for 2026, COS looks set for a bigger year, heavier drops, and wider signings. Up next, Cristoph jumps on camera to talk through how the label works, what’s coming, and why it matters.
