With “Cry of Love (Take Me Back)”, Francesco Fruci delivers one of his most personal and emotionally charged productions to date.

Rooted in melodic house but infused with trance-inspired sensitivity and organic textures, the track feels like a confession set to sound. “This time, I really put emotions into it,” Francesco Fruci admits. “Usually I don’t, but this track needed it.”

Dedicated to a special, unnamed person, Cry of Love is built around warmth and nostalgia. The break stands out as a defining moment, where piano and a subtle vocal sample intertwine. “When the piano starts and the vocal comes in, that’s probably the most inspiring thing I’ve done since 2018,” he says. That intimacy contrasts beautifully with the extended, atmospheric second drop, designed for DJs but never losing its emotional core.

Produced entirely in his newly converted home studio, the track also marks a technical step forward. “The biggest challenge was kick and bass,” Francesco Fruci explains. “I had to replace the kick twice until everything finally clicked.” The result is a perfectly balanced low-end that supports the track’s melodic richness without overpowering it.

More than just another release, Cry of Love (Take Me Back) represents a new stage in Francesco Fruci’s artistic journey. “Don’t stop believing in what you love the most,” he shares. This track is proof that emotion, patience, and evolution can coexist, beautifully.
