Dirty South & Taglo release debut track ‘Holding Me Back’ on Colorize
Warm, melodic progressive house made for late-night listening

Colorize welcomes a powerful new collaboration as Dirty South and Taglo join forces on ‘Holding Me Back’, a refined progressive release that brings together two artists with years of experience at the forefront of electronic music.
‘Holding Me Back’ sits comfortably at the meeting point of both artists’ worlds. Shaped by glowing synths, slow-building tension and a vocal that gradually comes into focus, the track takes its time to unfold. Dirty South’s sense of scale and atmosphere blends seamlessly with Taglo’s warm, melodic approach, creating something that works just as well in a late-night club as it does in a more reflective listening space.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in electronic dance music, Dirty South has spent over a decade shaping the sound of progressive and melodic house. A Serbian-Australian producer, DJ, and remixer, his career began at just 13 years old before gaining global recognition with his chart-topping remix of Evermore’s ‘It’s Too Late’. Since then, he has earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best Remixed Recording — for his remixes of Kaskade’s ‘Sorry’ and The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’ alongside Axwell — while collaborating with and remixing for artists such as Rihanna, U2, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Tiësto.
Alongside him, Taglo brings a deeply personal and emotive approach to the collaboration. Having grown up across multiple countries, his early exposure to diverse musical cultures shaped a sound rooted in atmosphere and feeling. Initially inspired by trance and the work of artists such as Axwell, Tiësto, and deadmau5, Taglo gradually evolved toward a deeper, progressive style defined by warm melodies and intentional soundscaping. His music has earned support from leading figures including Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Marsh, Jody Wisternoff, and Yotto, while his performances have seen him appear at major festivals such as Dreamstate and Transmission.
