Bass visionary Floret Loret releases his 4-track EP Lightsplinter on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats label. A testament to his evolving artistry, Lightsplinter leads listeners through vivid sonic landscapes, blending textured sound design with guttural basslines and otherworldly rhythms.

Floret Loret:
"The theme behind this EP is overcoming challenges and embracing new beginnings. This year has been difficult—filled with obstacles and uncertainty. I wanted to capture the feeling of hope that emerges in the face of adversity while maintaining a positive outlook. The story follows the forging of a sword made of light, crafted to battle the lingering darkness within Lightsplinter Cave."

The EP opens with “Doves,” a mystical and foreboding introduction built on spacious sound design, ritualistic percussion, and retro-sci-fi textures. “Assemblage” follows, pairing shimmering arpeggios with a trap-leaning groove and resonant bassline. “Frenzy” dives into darker territory with pentatonic motifs, jagged distortion, and an undercurrent of chaotic tension. The project closes with the title track, “Lightsplinter,” a grounded and resolute finale that anchors the EP’s transformative arc.

Floret Loret joins Shlump’s 2026 tour, bringing the Lightsplinter experience to fans across the country. The tour marks a major milestone, further cementing his rise within the bass music landscape and introducing his immersive sound to an even broader audience.
