Shadow League and Minimal Audio open remix contest for Rammo
Participants will flip Rammo for a chance to win an extensive prize package and an official release.

Minimal Audio has partnered with Shadow League, Black Sun Empire, Virus Syndicate, LabelRadar and Artists and Relations to open an international remix contest for Rammo, the heavy drum and bass standout from Shadow League’s latest album Cheat Code.
The track brings together the combined firepower of Black Sun Empire and Virus Syndicate under their joint Shadow League project, a collaboration that merges precision engineered sound design with aggressive vocal cadence.
Shadow League represents the overlap between two highly influential forces in modern bass music. Black Sun Empire’s long legacy in drum and bass continues to shape the genre’s harder edges, while Virus Syndicate has been a leading name in grime, bass and crossover hybrid sounds for years. Together they have created a project aimed at delivering dark momentum, sharp rhythmic detail and vocal energy rooted in UK and European club culture. Rammo captures that ethos with a driving arrangement that sits firmly in the drum and bass fast lane.
For this contest, producers are invited to reinterpret the track in their own style. A major component of the collaboration is the involvement of Minimal Audio, whose new plugin Evoke is aimed at modern vocal resynthesis and detailed manipulation. The company has positioned the challenge as an opportunity for producers to experiment with cutting edge sound shaping tools while working with stems from a high intensity studio production.
Three winners will be selected. The top prize includes a release on Blackout Music, one of the leading labels in the darker and more technical side of drum and bass, along with an extensive prize package spanning instruments, plugins and studio gear. The second and third place prizes include additional software and production tools.
The contest offers emerging producers a rare chance to work directly with material from artists who have helped define their respective corners of bass music across the last two decades, while also connecting with Minimal Audio’s newest technology.
