FuturBeats launches global beatmaker challenge with Swede of 808 Mafia
Producers can submit a beat using the free FuturBeats plugin for a chance to win major prizes and get direct feedback from a multi-platinum producer.
FuturBeats has partnered with The Beat Republic, Swede of 808 Mafia, LabelRadar and Artists & Relations to launch an international beatmaker challenge aimed at producers working across trap, hip hop, drill and R&B. The contest, open worldwide, offers more than six thousand dollars in prizes and direct feedback from Swede of 808 Mafia, one of the most respected producers in modern rap.
Swede’s influence stretches across the last decade of trap and hip hop, with credits linked to artists such as Future, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Chief Keef and many others. His involvement as a judge makes the competition a rare opportunity to have original work heard by a multi-platinum producer with a deep understanding of contemporary beat production.
Producers entering the challenge must build a beat that incorporates at least one sound from FuturBeats, a new free plugin created to spark inspiration and combat writer’s block. With its library of loops and textures, FuturBeats is designed to give beatmakers a flexible source of ideas that can be flipped, chopped or layered into new compositions.
All submissions must be uploaded exclusively through the contest page and hosted on SoundCloud. Participants are encouraged to share snippets of their work using the hashtag #futurbeatschallenge, but full uploads on platforms like Spotify or Deezer will result in immediate disqualification.
The jury includes Swede of 808 Mafia, The Beat Republic, Simplify Booking and Artists & Relations. Because hardware shipping is limited, physical prizes will only be sent to winners located in North America. Participants will also be asked to provide the FuturBeats sampler they used as proof of authenticity.
How to enter
- Download FuturBeats and use at least one loop or sound from the library.
- Create a beat, with or without vocals.
- Upload the beat to SoundCloud.
- Submit it through LabelRadar before 11:59 pm PST on December 18, 2025.
