Âme and Busiswa Align for the Ebullient “’Pha Na Pha”
The fourth preview from the German duo's next LP reasserts one simple truth: There's nothing static about Âme’s sound.

“Pha Na Pha” opens with a decisive affirmation: “Groove is upon us.” Indeed it is, from the song’s first second all the way through its fourth minute and 34 seconds. Banter-like vocals from South African singer-songwriter and poet Busiswa add fun flair and personality to the bubbly fourth single that paves the way to Âme’s next studio album - their first since 2021’s Dream House - A Strollogy (Mixed).
“Busiswa brought her unique blend of South African poetry and dance floor instinct to ‘Pha Na Pha,’ giving the track its lift, its vivid positivity, and a dose of much-needed musical Vitamin D,” the Berlin-based duo tells Beatportal.
The songstress dances with whimsy over ebullient production that’ll infallibly elicit at least a bob of the head (though probably more) from all who hear it. Bright and rhythmic, “Pha Na Pha” brings light to even the darkest dance floors, flexing Âme’s boundless creativity and fluid dexterity along the way. Hear it work its magic below.
"Pha Na Pha" adds heft to what's already been a strong rollout for Âme’s next LP, and one that stretches back to "Asa" last July. Since then, the house and techno outfit has dispensed a sprinkling of pre-album singles, including October 2024's "Shadow Of Love" with Curses and, more recently, July's "Don't Waste My Time" alongside Trikk and Jens Kuross. Together, they've reasserted one simple truth: There's nothing static about Âme’s sound.
"Pha Na Pha" is out now via Innervisions. Buy it on Beatport.
