On a warm night at Creamfields this summer, inside the steel cathedral of the Steelyard, Danny felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time — the unmistakable thump of a record that belonged to him. Not one he championed on Radio 1, not one he teased in a mix, but one pulled straight from the corners of his own imagination.

“When it dropped, it felt like a real moment.”

Danny has spent the better part of the last few years steering the sound of the UK’s late-night airwaves and commanding festival stages worldwide. But lately, something’s been pulling him back to the quiet intensity of the studio — back to the place where ideas first come alive without a crowd, without instant feedback, and without rules. The result is his new collaboration with Edd, landing November 21st on Realm Records: a euphoric, big-room weapon built with the urgency of someone rediscovering his own creative appetite.

“For this one it was to create something that would sound epic on a big stage! We got in the studio back in February and I knew there were some big festival shows coming up in the summer I imagined playing this at. Creamfields in the Steelyard was a particular highlight, it felt like a real moment when I dropped this.”

The track began in February, with summer festival season looming like a deadline. He imagined the song long before he made it — the tension inside a cavernous tent, the moment just before the lights explode, the shared breath of thousands waiting for a release.

“That was the vision. Make something you could drop at Creamfields and feel it shake the room.”

The collaboration with Edd was the kind of session producers dream about but rarely experience — rapid, instinctive, aligned.

“It came together really quick, we got the beat down, found the vocal and from then on it flowed pretty seamlessly. I knew even before the session I wanted to utilise Edd’s signature bassline skills and he was an absolute wizard on the buttons. As the ideas came, he was lightning quick to get the sound nailed, it was a really natural process.”

Crafting the Sound: Euphoric, Versatile, Unstoppable

Danny lights up when he talks about how the record sounds.

“I love how euphoric this one came out! The chords and melodies are super warm and the vocal elevates it to sound anthemic. Having strong melodies is always important for me with my music and definitely in 2026 you’ll hear more of that. I've been busy in the studio this year.”

For a producer who balances the dual worlds of club culture and radio broadcast, melody remains the anchor. The record is emotional as much as it is functional — made for both the goosebump moment and the sweat that comes after.

“It’s a weird feeling when trying to compare your own music with picking records for radio. Years of experience knowing what a radio audience wants compared with what you want your own record to sound like (and if it’s actually any good) are two very different (and frustrating) skills. That’s why I love collaborating because you use each other as a soundboard to determine what is going to work and what isn’t, Edd and I were very much on the same page with this one and I think that’s why it sounds the way it does.”

For Danny, the track stands out because of how it escalates — not a loop, but a journey.

“This one is true in that it has a killer groove but different in the way it continuously builds and builds, there’s no skipping this one, you’re locked in from the first breakdown and from there it’s just ascension until the third and most epic drop. My favourite feeling on this record is that it’s so versatile, I could hear a tech house DJ play it but it would also sound sick at 120bpm as a curveball in an afrohouse set, it’s got a lot to offer.”

Realm Records, Relationships, and What’s Next

Danny’s connection with Realm Records runs deep.

“Yeah it’s deep, I’d consider Matt & Kye some of my closest in the industry. We’ve had a lot of fun at festivals, in Ibiza and of course the multiple times they’ve passed through my radio show since 2012! My music studio is even next door to theirs in London so we see each other often. Friendship is great in the scene but your real ones are also the most honest so the fact they loved the track enough to sign to Realm means a lot.”

Realm’s signature — big-room energy combined with raw, underground-leaning production — made it the perfect home for Danny’s latest record.

“It’s got that big room energy to it but still raw in its sound. It feels good at 3am in a dark sweaty club but also daytime at a festival mainstage. Realm and Gorgon are the masters of records that appeal in all raving situations and this is definitely that.”

“Yeah the quality threshold for Realm is high and the Gorgon City lads A&R it brilliantly. Not chasing trends, buzzy names or crowds, just great music that will stand the test of time and that’s what’s going to make you stand out as an artist. New names or established, that’s the one common thread with all their releases so to add to that feels like a real privilege.”

And for fans hoping this release is just the start of Danny’s studio resurgence, the answer is simple: more is coming.

“In short, yes! I’ve got three or four planned to come out on my label Nothing Else Matters in 2026 already, a few collaborations I’m excited about and I’m continuously working on new ideas. I’ve really found my groove in the studio so lot’s music is cooking and I’m excited to push my productions more than I ever have going into the new year.”

Danny stands at a rare intersection — the broadcaster who shapes the culture and the producer who can still surprise it. With his new Realm Records release, he’s proving that both versions of himself are sharper than ever. And if this is the tone-setter for 2026, the next year might just be his most explosive yet.
