Metrik announces his fourth studio album Awake - a bold new chapter in drum & bass.

London-based producer, vocalist and DJ Metrik returns in 2025 with Awake, a 12-track odyssey that pushes drum & bass into uncharted territory. Five years in the making, the album marks his most ambitious and personal work to date - a fusion of ferocious energy, immersive world-building and raw emotion.

Fans have already had a taste: singles including Abyss, Immortal, Fall To The Dust, Overdrive (with Grafix) and the title track Awake have torn through clubs and festivals worldwide, while Hole - a collaboration with Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds - was crowned BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record in the World.

On Awake, Metrik brings his full creative arsenal to the fore. He writes, produces and performs his own vocals, crafting songs that sit at the collision point between industrial grit, euphoric melody and cinematic scale. Built on a foundation of drum & bass but unafraid to reach into metal and industrial textures, the record shifts effortlessly from introspective moments to explosive festival weapons. Fuelled by his own songwriting, vocals and multi-instrumental performances, it captures both vulnerability and scale - equally at home in headphones or on the main stage.

Reflecting on the album, Metrik explains:

“This album came out of a really tough time in my life, with songs that carry very personal meanings - from battles with ADHD and going through grief to finding hope again in difficult moments. I wanted to be more raw and honest with the music, push myself vocally, and hopefully create something people can connect with on a deeper level.”

From his debut Universal Language to LIFE/THRILLS and Ex Machina, Metrik has been at the forefront of modern drum & bass.
