Listen: LUSU's brain-spangling solo Drumcode debut
Move 2 the Groove follows up last year's collaboration with HI-LO 'DIZZY'

Ascendent Dutch duo LUSU continue their rapid rise with their debut solo release on Drumcode, Move 2 the Groove - a two-tracker that cements them as one of techno’s most exciting new forces.
The pair first dropped on Drumcode’s radar last year with ‘DIZZY’, their HI-LO collaboration that turned heads for its wild, mosh-pit energy. Since then they’ve been stacking heat on HILOMATIK and Eli Brown’s Arcane, plus linking with Brown again for the festival-smashing ‘Escape from Planet Monday’ featuring Sarah de Warren.
Their new EP lands with serious weight. ‘Move 2 the Groove’ is a percussive monster - hypnotic rap hook, razor-tight drums, and that same high-octane chaos that made ‘DIZZY’ so lethal on the floor. Its counterpart ‘Afterlife’ flips the script, leaning into old-school chords and star-gazing end-of-night emotion.
LUSU explain that ‘Afterlife’ started life as a rework of Sil & Olav Basoski’s 1991 classic ‘Windows’. Adam Beyer was rinsing their tracks so heavily that the idea quickly snowballed into a full Drumcode EP. “The techno scene is embracing more cross-genre influences right now, and ‘Move 2 the Groove’ captures that perfectly.”
