Enrico Sangiuliano unveils The Techno Code (Community Remixes) on NINETOZERO
His pick of entrants after his open call-out for remixers ft. Demon Noise, Cor Fijneman, Rhotek, Malengo, Zockraze
Innovative sound designer, producer, and live artist Enrico Sangiuliano posted a call-out for aspiring remixers of his startling techno manifesto ‘The Techno Code’ back in June — an amazing opportunity for new and emerging talent. Now, he releases his pick of the entrants in the 5-track ‘The Techno Code (Community Remixes)’, out 6th November on his prestigious NINETOZERO imprint.
Enrico’s original spoken hymn to the genre won accolades aplenty in April as part of NINETOZERO VA EP ‘Discipline’, and in July spawned a remixes EP featuring techno luminaries like Charlotte de Witte.
Enrico Sangiuliano – ‘The Techno Code (Community Remixes)’:
- Demon Noise (Argentina, psytrance/melodic techno) adds extra acid, beats, and bass up front, delivering a relentless onslaught of builds and drops.
- Cor Fijneman (Dutch trance veteran, collaborator with Tiësto, Montana…) slows the beat and adds a deep, booming reverb pulse while upping the melodic element.
- Rhotek (Argentina & Teiko Warehouse resident) goes for breaksy kickdrum, distorted organ-like chords, and voice, giving a staccato feel.
- Malengo (Venetian newcomer) brings the voice up front, remixing the lyrics to fit his speedy, driving version with extra echo.
- Zockraze (Belgium, futuristic trance) opts for a fast, liquid flow, strongly melodic with extra urgency in the main theme.
The Techno Code has seemingly taken on a life — or lives — of its own, a tribute to the talent and originality of Enrico Sangiuliano.
