A Full-Circle Moment for Marco V
Two decades on, the electronic music veteran finds fresh momentum through Drumcode and Be Yourself Music.

With a career spanning decades and a legacy built on innovation, energy, and unmistakable sound design, Marco V continues to redefine his place in the electronic music landscape. Following the international success of Loxia on Drumcode, supported by heavyweights like Adam Beyer, Marco V now returns with a brand-new EP on Be Yourself Music, set for release on November 28. In this Q&A, he reflects on evolution, inspiration, and what’s next for one of dance music’s true pioneers.
You’ve been a driving force in electronic music for years. How do you see your sound and vision today compared to when you first started?
Funny enough, the sound connecting with a wider audience today has the same vibe as my original MARCO V.ISION style. Back then, I released tracks across hard trance, club, and more under aliases like Southside Spinners and Out of Grace. Many of those styles are experiencing a modern revival now—it feels like things have come full circle.
Your track “Loxia” on Drumcode gained international support from Adam Beyer and others. What did that release mean for you personally and creatively?
Having a release on one of the most respected techno labels with this sound is amazing. Adam Beyer picking up Loxia was really cool—it introduced the track to a bigger, slightly different audience, which is always rewarding.
Your upcoming EP on Be Yourself Music drops on November 28. What story or energy does this new release bring to your catalog?
This EP carries the same vibe as Loxia: music made purely for the dance floor. SPLITT has a strong groove that feels restrained at first but really opens up toward the end. BESIDES is a full-on dance floor track—the kind I love to play myself between peak moments. No huge expectations, just solid energy and momentum.
Be Yourself Music has been an important part of your career. What makes this partnership special at this stage of your journey?
We’ve been working together for more than 25 years, since the days when it was still part of ID&T Music. I’ve always had their support and the freedom to create whatever I felt like making. That kind of trust and consistency makes this partnership really special.
How do you balance innovation with staying true to the signature Marco V sound that fans have loved for decades?
I’ve always loved grooves with a lot of energy—that’s the kind of music I enjoy playing, producing, and listening to. Staying true to that isn’t difficult. At the same time, I try to do something slightly different with each release to avoid a “recycled” feeling. Once the fun and creativity disappear, making music just isn’t the same.
Looking forward, what drives you to keep pushing boundaries and what can fans expect next from you?
I get inspiration from all kinds of music and am always searching for new ideas. There’s a new vocal track coming soon, along with more tunes in the same energetic spirit as Loxia and SPLITT.
With a career defined by evolution and unwavering energy, Marco V continues to prove why his sound remains vital to the global electronic scene. From the raw power of Loxia on Drumcode to the dance floor precision of his latest work, he shows that innovation and legacy can coexist seamlessly.
Marco V’s new Splitt EP will be released on Be Yourself Music on November 28.
