Scottish techno powerhouse Frazi.er drops his long-awaited debut album, Capitalism Kills Culture – out now via Parallel Visions. Raw, relentless, and full of intent, the record takes aim at how art is being swallowed by algorithms and stripped of soul, standing up for the values that built underground music in the first place.

Written and recorded over the course of a year at the gear-packed Devon Analogue Studios, the album captures the chaos and obsession that fuel Frazi.er’s sound – long nights, endless takes, and moments of near-madness in pursuit of something real. Surrounded by countryside stillness and vintage machines, he pushed himself into a creative space where structure collapsed into instinct, giving the album its unfiltered, human pulse. It’s techno born from intuition, commitment, and reverence for the culture.

Sonically, Capitalism Kills Culture fuses Detroit techno's emotional grit – nodding to legends like Underground Resistance and Floorplan – with the euphoric spirit of ‘90s rave innovators like Orbital, Future Sound of London and beyond. The result is a body of work that feels both timeless and defiant, where pounding rhythms meet flashes of raw vulnerability.

"It’s great to have Beatport supporting my Capitalism Kills Culture album as it’s the most used outlet for buying music," Frazi.er tells Beatportal. "The album tells a story and covers decades of influence, which should hit a wider range of techno lovers!"
