Congrats on the release of “Pump It Up” on Three Six Zero Recordings. How does it feel now that it’s finally out?

Thank you so much. Honestly, it feels amazing. I’ve looked up to Three Six Zero for a long time, so having a release there is something I’m really proud of. It’s been a long process to get here (a lot of ups and downs), so seeing the track finally out in the world is a very special feeling.

Tell us how the idea for “Pump It Up” came about? What was the inspiration?

The inspiration came from a few places. I knew I wanted something high-energy, something that moves the crowd and brings a party feel, while still staying true to my own sound. I was digging into loads of UK Garage and Bass plus house and tech-house club vibes, and I thought: let’s make something that could hit at peak time in a festival or club set.

You’ve just come off the back of ‘SexyBack’, a track that got support from heavyweights like Mau P, Dom Dolla, and Anyma. And now “Pump It Up” is also getting support from Dom Dolla. What does it feel like seeing those big names spin your music at the world’s biggest festivals?

It’s surreal, honestly. It’s one thing to make a track, but to have the biggest in the scene backing you says you’re doing something right. And when you pair that kind of support with a label like Three Six Zero wanting to release it, that’s the perfect combo.

Let’s talk about your sound. You touched on having a “personal sound” earlier. How would you describe it to someone who hasn’t heard you yet?

I’d say my sound sits somewhere between tech-house with strong reggae influences and UK Garage Bass. Every track I release has elements of those, plus a hard-hitting bassline and groove. I don’t even know how to label it fully anymore, but that mix is where I’m comfortable at the moment haha.

Why release this track now? What does this moment mean for you?

It felt right. After a bit of a break because of personal stuff, I’m coming back with purpose. As you mentioned, ‘SexyBack’ went #1 in its genre on Beatport; now dropping Pump It Up on Three Six Zero feels like a very positive step forward and motivates me to drop even more music. And trust me, there’s tons more coming in the next few months.

What’s next? Any upcoming projects, collabs, or an EP on the way?

Yep. I’m working on multiple new tracks — a string of singles dropping between now and January. This track is just the start.

Lastly: what would you say to those who haven’t heard you yet but are about to discover you thanks to “Pump It Up”?

Thank you for giving it a listen. Turn it up and let it hit. And know this: I’ve got a lot more music on the way. Let’s play!
