With “Destiny,” Alesso and SACHA align on a love song built for the mainstage and born from a process best described by its title. Out now via Capitol Records, the single represents a full-circle moment for the Scottish songstress, who’s lent both her pen and her pipes to fellow dance/electronic acts, such as Armin van Buuren and Joel Corry, and credits the Swedish producer as one of her own influences:
“Collaborating with Alesso has been an incredible experience. I have long admired his work, and his early songs were often a source of inspiration when defining my own sound. When I wrote 'Destiny,' I envisioned a production that balanced nostalgia with a modern edge, and Alesso was the ideal partner to realize that vision,” she says. “His production not only exceeded expectations but perfectly captured the timeless energy I was aiming for, while elevating it with a fresh twist that is next level.”
The record comes just days after Alesso presented the world premiere of “Destiny” at Tomorrowland Brasil, following more than a month of teasing the collaboration on TikTok, where an early clip amassed more than 100,000 likes and relentless calls for its release. Listen below.
A pyro-adjacent addition to their catalogues, “Destiny” captures Alesso and SACHA’s synergy at stadium scale. Her cavernous vocals carry far and wide, flexing her songwriting muscle over propulsive production that sounds like it soared straight out of the genre’s golden age.
“I’ve been chasing that euphoric dance music energy I grew up loving, and I think we finally caught it,” Alesso tells Beatportal.
The single comes on the heels of Alesso's September outing alongside Sentinel and Sick Individuals, "Upside Down," and SACHA's recent collaboration with Armin van Buuren, "Set Me Free," released earlier this month.
