Easttown is a rising star from the Netherlands. In the house genre, there’s hardly a DJ who hasn’t played his tracks – especially during the summer season in Ibiza.

From Franky Rizardo’s LTF Records to Folamour’s House of Love, Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, or Carlita’s contribution to the Fabric Presents series – Easttown’s music is everywhere, played and loved.

His driving house sound, shaped by today’s influences yet never confined to fleeting trends, feels like a true evolution of the genre and leaves you wanting more.

It therefore comes as no surprise that his third full EP is now being released on Cécille. In addition, he recently featured on Leyo’s Circus EP and contributed a track to the label’s 2025 summer compilation.

1. Easttown, we’ve already had you as our guest once before. Could you tell us a bit about your new Get Ready EP? How did you approach the production, and how did the tracks come together?

Thank you for having me again. For the tracks on this EP, most of my inspiration came from digging through house music from the ’90s and early 2000s. It could be a percussion sound, a disco stab, or part of a vocal that sparks my inspiration, and then I start working from there.

I think the sound you hear on this EP is something you’d expect from me on Cécille – especially if you know my previous releases on the label. On this EP, you will hear percussive sounds with strong basslines and my signature stabs on the first beat.

2. Many artists talk about certain tracks creating “magical moments” in their DJ sets. Are there tracks from Get Ready or from your earlier releases that you especially love to play live – and why?

From this record, it’s Get Ready and Seduction. When I play Get Ready, it feels like a transition moment from lower, warm-up energy to more peak-time energy, especially during the second break. I like playing Seduction because it has a different kind of rhythm, which creates more dynamics in my sets.

From earlier releases, I still love to play Balancing. That track fits into almost every part of my sets – whether I’m warming up, playing peak-time, or closing. People in the crowd also still request that track while I’m playing.

3. What does it mean to you to now release your third EP on Cécille – in addition to your successful collab track Circus with Leyo?

I'm very happy to contribute to the label’s legendary legacy for the fifth time now. The first EP, called Chaos, released in April 2024, marked an important moment in my career. With that EP, I showcased the direction I wanted to go with my sound. It was the first time I received recognition from bigger artists and labels. Since then, I kept sending music to Marc and Nico – and here we are, at the third EP. I'm thankful for our amazing collaboration and their trust.

4. By now you’ve become a regular part of Cécille’s worldwide events. How does it feel to be part of that family, and what does it give you as an artist?

It's amazing to get the chance to play in different cities and countries around the world. Every new city I travel to feels like a little adventure, and it’s great to do this together with familiar people like the Cécille family.

The music I release on Cécille is meant to be heard on dancefloors, so it goes hand in hand perfectly. And besides that, the line-ups are of course great as well.

5. If someone who doesn’t know you could only listen to one of your releases – which one would you choose, and what story lies behind it?

I would say my track Timeless, released on Cécille, would be a good one. I called it Timeless because it contains a sample from an older house track (like many of my tracks). The track I sampled still sounded fresh and relevant 20+ years later, so I realized again how timeless house music can be.

I now hope that someone will find Timeless in 20 years and have a similar experience – how cool would that be?!

6. Is there a release, a remix, or a feature you haven’t done yet but would love to take on – maybe with a particular artist or label?

There are some record labels on my wishlist that I haven’t released on yet, but we’re working on it. Readers of this interview may guess which labels those are, haha.

I’m trying to spend as much time in the studio as possible to create new music and improve my craft. At the moment, I’m working on projects with several vocalists and other producers – let’s see where that will lead to.

7. When you’re not in the studio or on tour – what does the perfect balance or downtime look like for you?

Having time off in Amsterdam is the best. It feels like a small town that offers everything you could wish for. I love spending time with friends in the city, going out for dinner, and digging for new music together. Luckily, many of my friends share the same passion for music as I do. Whenever I have the time, I go support them at their gigs – check out Piepotelli for instance, he is an amazing selector.

Next to that, working out almost every day helps me stay healthy and balanced.

8. What are your plans for the future? Which projects or milestones are you most excited about?

The next release after the Get Ready EP will be a track on the PIV x Factory93 compilation for ADE – a full-circle moment for me, as PIV got me into making house music around 2017.

Next to that, I have a crazy amount of tracks ready for 2026. I’ve never been so productive in the studio as I am now, which feels amazing. My sound is evolving, and I’m working with inspiring people, so expect a lot of new music in 2026!

9. As a Dutch artist, ADE is practically on your doorstep. Where can people find you there, and what makes ADE so special to you?

I love ADE. Amsterdam becomes the center of electronic music for five days, which is amazing (and lucky me). It's crazy to realize that such a relatively small city organizes such a big event – but at the same time, it really suits Amsterdam, I think. I remember going there for the first time as a young kid in 2015 and not having a clue where to go – I just wanted to be there and experience what it was like.

I’m proud to say that I’ll play 7 times during ADE this year, so it’ll be busy! The shows I’m most excited for are Straf_Werk x Flow and Cécille x Mood Child. Looking forward to seeing you all in Amsterdam soon!
