Composed with minimal tools — a Mac, an audio interface, and a pair of headphones — the track showcases Fabian’s ability to craft authenticity from simplicity.
“Working only with headphones was challenging at first, since I’m used to monitors, but it also gave me a new perspective,” he shares.
The result is a layered, atmospheric sound that feels organic yet refined.
One of Fabian’s favorite moments in Cabestan comes at 1:01, where an evocative synth line rises like a breath of fresh air amid the flow.
“It’s one of those details that gives the track its soul,” he says.
