JAUZ UNVEILS HIGH-SPEED BASS HOUSE TRACK ‘2 STEP’
On October 3rd, Jauz returns with a frenetic bass house track that nods to ’90s video game nostalgia on his imprint, Bite This!.

On October 3rd, Bay Area-born DJ and producer Jauz releases ‘2 Step’, a high-octane new single on his Bite This! imprint that pushes his bass house revival into even more adventurous territory. Known as Apple Music’s “Godfather of Bass House,” the LA-based producer has been on a tear in 2025 with singles like ‘Shake Shit Up’, ‘Rockin’, and ‘Lose Control’ – with ‘2 Step’ continuing the streak with a high-octane approach built for peaktime moments on the dancefloor.
Reminiscent of a ‘90s video game soundtrack, the track races forward with pixelated synth flourishes, a heavy, driving bassline, and a fast tempo melody that makes it one of Jauz’s most electrifying releases of the year. The song’s mid-track switch-up flips the energy on its head, a bold production choice that highlights his versatility and willingness to keep fans on their toes. Equal parts nostalgic to his signature bass-house sound and forward-thinking, ‘2 Step’ proves once again why the veteran producer is one of the most creative forces in bass music.
The single arrives as Jauz is deep into his Shake Shit Up North American Tour, which has already packed out venues across the U.S. and Canada this year. With upcoming Fall stops in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Tempe, San Francisco, and New York – the tour showcases his renewed commitment to bass house, fueled by a run of fresh, high-energy releases designed for both festival mainstages and dark warehouses alike.
Since his breakout ‘Feel the Volume’ in 2014, Jauz has headlined global festivals from Coachella to EDC, released chart-topping albums including The Wise & The Wicked, and collaborated with icons like Tiësto, Zeds Dead, and Marshmello. With ‘2 Step’, he continues to prove that nearly a decade into his career, he’s still pushing boundaries while staying true to the sound that built his name.
